The “Core of Knowledge”  information covered in the above syllabus is based on the Department of Health’s MHRA document “Guide to Safe use of Lasers, Intense Pulsed Light and LED’s in Medical, Dental and Cosmetic Practice”.

Eclipse Lasers offer a compact Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser for tattoo studios and beauty therapists with training included in your studio or salon.

Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers are considered the ‘Gold Standard’ in tattoo removal. The intense pulse of light from the laser is absorbed by the ink pigment which is shattered into tiny fragments.

Over the next 4 to 8 weeks the body’s own immune system disperses the ink fragments from the body.

The treatment is repeated at 4 to 8 week intervals and the tattoo gradually fades.

Black ink responds the best to laser treatment, although most colours can be treated.
